We were there last night - had another excellent meal and found out that they are closed Sundays until Easter. From then on they will be open seven days a week.

We had the lunch special the other day. Choice of 2 starters, 5 main (2 fish, 2 pork and chicken) and 2 desserts. Half bottle wine, bottle of water, 2 coffees at 7.50 euro a head. Great value and great food. Pato and EMM please note the chicken piri piri comes with a dainty small ceramic dish with piri piri sauce. We will be back.

We have been there several times for lunch and dinner, and we are sure the piri piri sauce is home made. Six of us went for lunch last week (two had the piri piri chicken) and once again our meal was excellent. The menu is not huge, but is varied and there are always different daily specials.

Last time we went, Marco said they even marinated the olives themselves!...they were delicious.

Piri piri home made or from a bottle? Reckon requires another visit to ascertain source. Looking forward to the visit. :)

Having seen the reveiws we went there on Monday and had a lovely meal. Very friendly, snug and welcoming. We only had breads/ olives, mains , house red and coffees but unlke some restaurants, were made to feel very welcome despite not having more courses or spending more money. OH had steak which he said was perfect and I had pork, both in a mushroom/ cream sauce with lots of lovely veg.cooked just as I like them. I'm not a big olive fan but the olives were lovely too

We took our wine outside once we'd eaten, having explained what we were doing ie not doing a runner and that was no problem. Sitting outside with the wine and then coffees was part of the whole great experience.

The breads, coffees and chilled liquer were described on the bill as oferta ie we didn't get charged for them. Will definitely return - think it will be perfect for a winter's night

I see someone's described the drink as moscata - is that what it was? We thought it was a nice change from port

Ceh. I was at the next table with my wife my son and his partner. We too had an excellent meal. I did think the owners looked a bit startled at first when you took your drinks outside but as you had left stuff at the table they obviously did not think you were going to do a runner!

Hi Steve - we were starting to overheat and thought the (shared) reading glasses, cardigan and golf jacket left at the table might help give the impression we were going to return!

Hi Geoff - thanks for info re drink. Unfortunately we're back in the UK - I cant seem to get the trips to coincide with the walks at the moment. Enjoy Sat evening

We had another great meal at A Tasquina this week but they were very quiet with only ten in for dinner. From the reaction I got when I commented I got the impression that they are not doing as well as they deserve. Pity. Great food, well presented and outstanding value. They deserve to succeed.
