Agree Bruce,
The only problem is that a fully booked restaurant can look empty in the early evening, and "casual" diners don't appreciate that all the tables are taken. Cannot blame a restaurant for being successful.
1 st day back at work after being away for 17 nights, had 2 fab meals again, but booked both 4 nights in advance.
At busy times they do 2 sittings, 7 and 9 so there are no reserved notices on the tables.
Back again 6 weeks and will def be back again
Just back after 2 great weeks Kim has gone home and we were told she not coming back, shame as she was really nice. Claudios cousin has now joined as the new waiter. Food as good as usual and service.
We were given the same news a couple of weeks ago, although Claudio would not elaborate on the reason. Hope it doesn't affect the quality of the restaurant. Claudio also had some other options, which he couldn't talk about. He has announced his departure before, and reappeared the following season. My wife hopes he's bluffing this time.
If Kim has gone back to Holland, and Harald is still there.....mmmmmmmmmm the plot thickens......
But I knew that she had been unwell and been in hospital at home.
They told us that Claudio is going to Australia to live with his Mum and Family, and Kim was not coming back, do not think any gossip just one of those things
You've got a sympathiser here Bruce - we had the same problem the first time we went there several years ago - we had taken the mother-in-law for a treat and felt very uncomfortable having to scrabble around to find the cash to pay the bill. Unusually, they wouldn't accept a Portuguese cheque either. The waiter on that occasion (not either of the owners) made us feel even worse - no sympathy there! However, I agree the food is a cut above the usual so just remember the readies!
Oops - didn't read the pages in between - this is a bit out of date now - sorry! Shame about Kim - she was really nice.
