A REDE
I have lived here 6 years and never been to this restaurant at the top of retaurant hill. Didnt have a lot of money so looked for the cheapest one on my walk and this was it.
Piri Piri chicken was delicous ( make sure they dont put a lot on though as very picant ) , staff had great sense of humour and lovely manners and it wasnt expensive.
Have now decided going to try all the restaurants that my son and I havent been too and review them.
Plus for him was they had the football on , so I daydreamed and he was quiet , very kiddie friendly , all the staff checked that he was ok and joked with him.
Lovely will eat there again after I have checked out the rest.

Another recommendation for A Rede.
We ate there a couple of times as the food has always been very good when we have visited previously. We also like the staff, though Carlos (?) needs to change his "Chicken piri-piri with extra viagra sauce" line and repertoire. Pork tenderloin also very good, as is the Portuguese steak, which I reckoned to be one of the best I have tried. (btw - shameful, I don't eat fish...)
It can get very busy, but if they don't have a table you want and don't mind waiting - ask for them to give you a shout and nip next door to the Accordeao (sp?) bar for an aperitif and watch the world go by.

will try the neighbour
Will give it a try , but they were more expensive , the prir piri chicken by 2 euros , and like a lot of people I am on tight budget. Hence having lived here 6 years and still not got around all the restaurants !!!
