A Marisqueira, Estrada do Farol
Up the hill just past the new hotel (Mirachoro Praia) on the left. ALWAYS great grilled fish and probably the only place for a good cheap lunch, try it you won't be dissapointed.

We visited Carvoeiro in late March 2004. We stayed at the Tivoli Almansor and the A Marisqueira was five minutes walk from the hotel. On our second evening, we were enticed into the restaurant by the heavenly smells wafting from the outdoor charcoal grill. We had a very fishy meal with fish pate and boiled "shrimps" as they called them, tiger prawns I'd've said, to start. Then dorado and red snapper grilled to perfection. Plus two bottles of local wine and all for €42.50. And the manager and servers couldn't have been more friendly or helpful.
...went there several times in the last two weeks. Had chicken - tasted like ---- chickenpinkiebluesky wrote: went for chicken a few days ago, tasted like sardines, not vey nice
O.K. I was worried about our "favourite" restaurant, but everything was alright, especially the "Robalo" on two other nights (without chicken ).

Marisqueira
Thought you were on a(nother) diet?
Problem with Marisqueira especially at lunch is getting in there! I reckon you have to get there about midday to beat the baby spare rib brigade!
