Up the hill just past the new hotel (Mirachoro Praia) on the left. ALWAYS great grilled fish and probably the only place for a good cheap lunch, try it you won't be dissapointed.

I agree with you pinkiebluesky, we stayed in a villa opposite last june and often went there for lunch, we also noticed that quite a few locals went there, thats always a good sign in my book.

Great Restaurant. Friendly, we go there for lunch for the Dourada, simply grilled and a tomato salad.

Always friendly, great value and excellent food, recently tried the lamb cutlets for first time. Highly recommended! :o

Very nice and reasonable. From my point they have the best grilled sole in CVO. (We go there every second day for dinner when we are in CVO.)
Cheers from Dortmund. :)

We visited Carvoeiro in late March 2004. We stayed at the Tivoli Almansor and the A Marisqueira was five minutes walk from the hotel. On our second evening, we were enticed into the restaurant by the heavenly smells wafting from the outdoor charcoal grill. We had a very fishy meal with fish pate and boiled "shrimps" as they called them, tiger prawns I'd've said, to start. Then dorado and red snapper grilled to perfection. Plus two bottles of local wine and all for €42.50. And the manager and servers couldn't have been more friendly or helpful.

...went there several times in the last two weeks. Had chicken - tasted like ---- chicken :-)

O.K. I was worried about our "favourite" restaurant, but everything was alright, especially the "Robalo" on two other nights (without chicken :D ).

Pinky

Looks like you were very unlucky :( (especially as you recommended it in the first place) - Sounds like there was a lot of fish went on the grill before your chicken.

All was OK last time I was there - better luck next time

Thought you were on a(nother) diet? :D

Problem with Marisqueira especially at lunch is getting in there! I reckon you have to get there about midday to beat the baby spare rib brigade!

well, ANOTHER good lunch at the marisqueira. Today I had the grilled salmon, very nice. I think this is probably the best restaurant in Carvoeiro for grilled fish, never had a bad one yet
