Chrissys - Lagoa
We have had two really excellent meals at Chrissys in Lagoa, during the last month.
Definitely a cut above your usual restaurant quality, maintaining that French style of cuisine, that has long been Chrissys trademark.
Excellent food, nice surroundings in an old building in the square near Lagoa indoor market.
3 courses with wine and coffee for 30 euros, makes it really good value for a slightly special dinner.
If you havent tried it, do so. I dont think you'll be disappointed.

,Re: Chrissys - Lagoa
We are also great fans of Chrissys and have spent as much money in very ordinary restaurants by the time you add the cover, water and wine at least at Chrissys you know what the bill will be at the end.
Re: Chrissys - Lagoa
I have been here a few times&always had an excellent meal with great service.
Re: Chrissys - Lagoa
...........Was full last night -every table on a Tuesday night in January. Baby Sole perfectly prepared & cooked. Great value restaurant with an atmosphere which encourages you to return.
Re: Chrissys - Lagoa
We went there and loved it! Mainly because my brother-in -law paid!
Re: Chrissys - Lagoa
Celebrated my birthday here last Tuesday, Pedro & Saul did us proud !

Three of us ate at Chrissy's last Tuesday - the place was full, service and food excellent. Not too sure about the live music (saxophonist) but maybe that is why the place was full?

Would have introduced myself if I'd known, had Bruce & Julia Wallis and Fozzie & wife with me.

We were the 3 men sat near the door! I was the chubby good looking on with the beard. I felt the sax player was a wee to loud perhaps?
Re: Chrissys - Lagoa
Yes it's a bit overpowering for a small restaurant & the food is so good they shouldn't need extra gimmicks to create demand. We were a table of nine at the far end of the restaurant, we had a George Clooney lookalike and an older Len Goodman with us!
PS George has put on a bit of weight recently

The cooking at Chrissys just gets better.
Its a pity that the inspectors for Michelin dont visit Lagoa, because if anybody deserves to put a Michelin star over their doorway, it's Pedro and Saul.
