TIA ROSA/DA DONATO

Anyone know the latest re: the above, have Donato taken over Tia Rosa or are they on short term rental or what ??

Just heard that Donato opens at Tia Rosa on wednesday 1st March.

It looked open yesterday.....balloons in the road, new signs and a pig roast outside, but that may have been for a private opening....

or a dry run to sort out any teething problems for all staff with new equipment etc. Wonder if any guest was asked to cause a fuss to see how staff dealt with it!! Ah......those were the days!!!

crikey !! they must have got a spurt on; on Saturday the place looked very sad and in need of some TLC,the outside paintwork was pretty grim and the awning was a deep shade of green (mildew). Still good look to them and I feel very sad for Silva & Rosa known them for nigh on 30 years hope they have a lovely retirement.

Hello again; any further news on this one, anybody been past visiting Pingo Doce and noticed any change in signage etc ?

Yes there is a sign saying da donatos. Admitedley it's not easy to spot, so we drove around and tia rosa has got a new sign
It was in the afternoon so wasn't open, didn't look much different though

Went last night, did not realise it was only second night of opening. All good, plenty of people in food good, staff were very friendly. A very good night had by all.
