A Paleta

Post by Geoff »

We tried this last night, not having been for a long time. Good crowd and jolly good food.

The usual a la carte , but for 8.5€ you can get:

bread/olives/butter/sardine paste,
half a bottle of good wine ( we had a 2014 Alentejo)
choice of grilled chicken, turkey, durado , pork chops etc...I had 2 enormous, tasty, juicy pork chops....with chips/rice/salad
pudding...chocolate mousse or similar
coffee

If you want to splash out, veg soup ( hot!) is 1.5€

Well recommended...Fado on fridays.

For those that don't know, it's almost next door to Pingo Doce in Lagoa.

Must have driven past this place Hundreds of times, over the past eleven years and then over the Christmas period when there was a shortage of places open somebody recommended it to my wife and I.All I can say is we will be returning in May as we had a very good meal, and the prices were excellent.

Hello everybody

I forgot to post in due time...that is to say when I came back to my country and when the souvenirs are really "fresh" (sorry for my very bad english^^)

We were to A Paleta 2 times this year and ...we loved it. The prices are much lower than in Carvoeiro center and it is a pleasant place to go, the food is very good and the staff friendly. A good address
