Thai Elephant
A new restaurant is opening up shortly in the old Poco Partido restaurant. About time we had a local Thai restaurant, cant wait to try it when we are next out. I have added it the the Restaurant Map.

Re: Thai Elephant
I hope it does well.
The trouble with the Poco Partido site is that you don't get a lot of passing trade. But we will most certainly try it when it opens.
In the meantime....
Portrade in the square in Ferragudo has opened up a small Thai restaurant in the lane leading off the square, but attached to Portrade.
We have been there several times and thoroughly recommend it.

Small is certainly an accurate description! Reckon holds at most 18 diners!!

Re: Thai Elephant
Thanks for the info Logicbob. We have used this restaurant many times over the years. Love Thai food so really looking forward to going there when we are over again.
Re: Thai Elephant
Used to enjoy Poco Partido as good food and easy to park and love Thai food, any idea when it's opening ?
Re: Thai Elephant
We are very lucky to have an excellent Thai in Buxton called Simply Thai, it is about to celebrate it's eleventh birthday,I just hope that the new Thai is better than the one that opened some years ago up near what is now The Wolf,I think it could possibly be an Indian at the moment. Here's hoping

Re: Thai Elephant
Today's the day, if anyone goes let us all know what it is like.
Re: Thai Elephant
Seen a snapshot of the menu and it looks expensive and away from CVO so doesn't have the foot fall. Also sounds like many of the Portuguese locals aren't the type to frequent an establishment charging more than a few euros for a main. Wonder how safe your car would be if left because you had a bit of a drink.

Could you share the snapshot?
