British Consulate Open Day Lagos, Algarve
British Consulate Open Day Lagos, Algarve
The network of British Consulates in Portugal, with the help of other partner organisations, occasionally hold open days to present advice and information on the issues that matter most to British residents. The open days consist of presentations covering a wide range of issues including Consular services and pension, benefit and healthcare rights of UK citizens living in Portugal.
The open days give residents the opportunity to ask general questions to the panel of presenters and sign up for a one-to-one session where they can discuss specific issues in more detail.
Talks will be given at the event by British Consul Clive Jewell, a representative from the Department of Work and Pensions who will be advising on benefits available to British residents in Portugal, the head of the Regional Passport processing Centre in Madrid, Andy Hamilton, and the founder and President of the Madrugada association, Alison Blair, who will be talking about their work supporting people affected by life limiting illness.
