There is a plant show and sale at QUINTA FONTE DO BISPO east of Santa Catarina on E270 towards Tavira - on Nov 7th - 11-3 pm. The show is put on by the MEDITERRANEAN GARDEN SOCIETY, from small and specialist Nurseries who specialise in plants for dry areas - there is even a "swop" stall for seeds and plants at the MGS booth. We wen to the sale and it was most impressive - all sorts of "dry" plants to buy- and to swop - we bought a large (1.5m high) phoenix type palm and an oleander (1m high) for €8.
