Just to bump this from Margarida's newsletter. Ladies' netball practice takes place every Thursday evening at 6.30pm at the sports court next to Mirachoro hotel, all ages and levels welcome! It's good exercise and a great way to socialise. We also have a group on Facebook if anyone would like to get in touch :)

I used to love netball, played for the county at school age many moons ago. At 5'10" I was goal attack & had a real height advantage over the other girls. I remember one team had a very, very annoying defender, she was a complete overweight midget but she could hop around like mad, coming up in your face, waving her arms around & getting in the way. I got sent off once for bouncing the ball on her head. :D
Brilliant game, if you've got the time & the energy go for it!

I used to play basketball & volley ball too. In fact most sports. It's why I'm such a wreck now. :D

Hi All

I am moving to Algarve soon an am frantically trying to find a netball club for my daughter to join. I have search the internet, but cannot find anything for girls, only ladies clubs. My daughter is 10 years old and absolutely loves netball. I know that if she can join a team it would make her transition so much.
I would really appreciate any help.
Also if anyone has reference on any public schools that have a few expat children going there, that would be great.

Thanks
