Walk, Monday April 16th
Walk, Monday April 16th
We will once again be walking the Rocha Delicada 8 km circular trail (but in reverse) near Alvor for about two hours. Meeting time: 10:00 a.m.
Directions: West on EN 125 towards Lagos. After Figueira and before Mexihoeira Grande there will be a sign left to Estacao. Turn here and we will meet in the station parking lot. (Note: it takes less than 30 minutes from Lagoa to get there).
Any questions call Brian at either 282 351 674 or 965 528 842. Usual provisos about the weather.

Re: Walk, Monday April 16th
Hi
We are over for two weeks holiday in July ( 7th -21st). My Parents in Law are coming with us and they (particularly my father in law) likes a good walk. They usually go away each year with either Ramblers each year to different parts of the Med. I was wondering if you walked at this time of year and if so they could come and join you and gain some local knowledge of the area?
If you let me know I can put them in contact.
Many thanks
Simon Bason

It is unlikely that there will be many walks during the summer months as it is usually too hot. We are heading back to Canada soon so we will not be arranging any more walks. However, watch this space and Geoff who is Mr. Carvoeiro Rambler can post his own reply!

Hi Simonb
Snowbirds are correct, July is not the walking season. We are out shortly and will have some walks in May, but I think even Julie's " Let's Go" walks cease for the summer.
BTW, CVO Ramblers is my make-up title : we are nothing to do with the Ramblers Association. It's merely an ad hoc walking group.
If you want guidance on walks, try the Julie ?Straton or Sunflower books in a good bookseller...or the Information Kiosk in the square at Silves ( not the portakabin by the river).
Failing that, drop me a PM and I will suggest a load for you!
The coast walks are always a good start!
