Linda and Russell are leading this walk around the nature reserve near Alvor estuary. It is mostly flat, all on good tracks but can get dusty. Some shade on the way back. It’s about 7kms around 2 hours. Bring your binoculars if you like birds as there are lots of flamingos at the moment.

Directions: - on the N125 head west past Portimao, Penina & Figueira. Stay on the N125 until you come to a small roundabout signposted Mexiloheira Grande. Go round the roundabout and double back on yourself. Park on the right hand side of the N125 just after the bus stop.

Walk starts 9.30am and there is no cafe. Normal rules; walk at your own risk, where suitable footwear, being a drink and no charge.
