...will you be out in November, Dick & Fran?
Unfortunately, no. And this winter we will be hosting our grandkids (7-year-old twin boys) during March break so we will be in Florida rather than Carvoeiro. Why they would pick Disneyworld over a brisk walk through the hills near Silves is lost on me!! :D :D :D

Hi Geoff,
Have just discovered your walks! My husband, Mike and I are keen walkers and live near Albufeira in Sesmarias, I'm guessing you aren't walking before the 1st Nov? We would love to join you on the 1st. but don't want to commit without knowing where the walk will be, are you able to give details? Last question - I'm hoping you don't have to be called "Jerry" to join? regards, Su Davis

Hi Su
No, any names accepted , though my wife is a Su(e) as well.

We are only just back from India ( to UK) so 1 Nov will be our first Portuguese walk....I hope to post the itineries in next few days, but most walks are in the Carvoiero/Silves area...we also live ( whilst in Portugal) in Sesmarias, but the one between Carvoeiro and Ferraguedo, it seems a popular name out there.

Always like to see new faces, and we are quite flexible on where we go...as long as its about 2 hours and stops at a cafe/bar!

Hope to meet you....I expect our first walk will be a gentle affair, with something more vigorous to build up to!

PS...If you like longer walks ( 20 kms) then you might like the Algarve Wednesday Walkers.....& if you like an evening ( 6pm-ish) one with beer and supper, perhaps the Algarve Hash House Harriers might be of interest?( most are walkers)...if so, PM me for details.

Hi Geoff, Mike and I will be pleased to join you on the 1st and will probably be at the café at about 9.45am for a quick cuppa before we start. We may have another friend with us, Helen, who also enjoys walking. See you soon.
