Hi 4 Scottish Ladies

Walk details are now posted for 7 May. They are :
Meet at 1000.
Meet outside the cemetery in Silves & walk up to the windmill & loop back via the beautiful countryside beyond. About 2 hours. (Directions: driving from CVO to Silves , go over the bridge & turn right. At the roundabout , turn left towards the town & the cemetery is about 100m on the right).

No charge , of course.

I would've been there but sadly had to return to the UK the previous day - I thought of you all (!) when sitting in a deadly dull meeting

We went a different route this time : turned left at the Levada & followed it till the aqaduct. Lovely countryside & lots of azure winged magpies to see.
Hope to meet up again one day

Walk on Monday 18 May cancelled due to lack of interest. Will try & advertise future ones in News/Resident.

We won´t be able to organise any walks until our next visit , currently planned for Jan 2010. Let me know if you want to come then.
In the meantime, I can recomend the Almancil branch of the Hash House Harriers , who organise weekly walks or runs in delightful parts of the Algarve. Cost is 5 euro per person , but that includes beer , water & a supper after.
Just search for "Hash House Harriers , Almancil" to get details of next walk.
They are usually held at 6pm on mondays in summer, earlier on sundays in winter.
