Walk : Thursday 21 April 2011 : Silves Windmill

Our favourite to start!
Meet at 1000 , outside the cemetery in Silves & walk up to the windmill & loop back via the beautiful countryside beyond. About 2 to 2.5 hours......we could always do the walk in reverse if you have done it before. Do stay for a coffee/beer in local cafe after!

Directions: driving from CVO to Silves , go over the bridge & turn right. At the roundabout , turn left towards the town & the cemetery is about 100m on the right.

No charge , of course.

There are a couple of brief, steep sections. Wear walking boots or stout trainers : poles are a good idea.

It would be helpful if you could indicate if you can come please. Hope to see you all there.

Well, another lovely walk, we even had some sunshine. Timing was superb ( lucky!) as it didn't rain till we finished, and then didn't stop till tea time!
But where were Kostas and Loiuse and hubby? Altogerther, we were 16.

Geoff,
It was great to walk with CVO Ramblers, whilst on holiday and it was the highlight of our trip. This gave us the confidence to explore the area on foot further!! unfortunatelly we did get lost on our own
We met so many other walkers to remember all of their names, so apologies but we were made most welcome, and hope to meet up with you all again sometime soon.
