PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE TO MONDAY

We have only done this walk once before, and it was barely 2 hours...so will add a loop to it which should bring it to about 2 hours 20 or 30 minutes!

Track is fairly undulating, nothing (too!) steep, with minimal loose scree. The final descent is a bit steep. Lovely countryside, plenty of orange groves, nice views from the top.

Degree of difficulty : 2 Moderate

Duration about 2 to 2.5 hours.

Meet at Cafe Casinhas at 1000.

Directions:
From CVO, drive to Silves and go over bridge, turn right.
At the roundabout, follow the N124 in direction of Messines.
After about 400m, almost opposite the Galp petrol station on your left, turn right on to " Turismo Rural".
Follow this for about 2.5 kms, when you will see the Cafe Casinhas on your right......they don't open till 1100 but will be open when we get back and do a good Prato de Dia for 7.5€ for those feeling peckish!

Walking boots/stout trainers recommended and walking poles.

Usual caveats - all walks are at your own risk, and we do not walk if it is pouring with rain...no charge, of course...I will endeavour to put any cancellation note on this site by 0900 on the day of the walk.

We were just about to post a familiar walk we hadn't had time to recci. so you have saved us in more ways than one. We're hoping this means you don't have to lose out as far as Hash House Harries is concerned but we did have a lot of replies asking for Mondays rather than Thursdays so unfortunately your loss is our gain. Looking forward to seeing you again on Monday. xx

Thanks Nina & Mike & Su, can't wait to get some warmth....we'll miss Monday's Hash as its at Tor and don't fancy driving there the day after we have arrived from Faro....& going to Salir for a Wednesday walk. Glad to have been of use! See you Monday, Easyjet permitting.

Willie's gone back to the UK, but Anne and I will be joining you. I couldn't have done Thursday as that's the day I fly back to the UK myself. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Carol
