A return of an old favourite!

A 2 hour level(ish) walk in some lovely countryside, ending at a nice cafe that does a mean tosta mixta!

Degree of difficulty:scale 1to 5 .....2 Moderate

Directions.Driving from CVO to Silves, do NOT go over the bridge but continue up the hill with the Hotel Colina dos Mouros on your left.
After 3.7km, fork left where the road divides, in direction of Algoz.
After a further 2km ( 5.7km from the Silves bridge) you will be in Poco Barreta. Park by station on right at end of village, opposite Cafe Snack-bar Sustelo.
Do NOT go over level crossing.

(For those that know the area, you can go inland from Lagoa and come out at a T junction just past the level crossing : in which case, turn left and park opposite cafe).

Start.Meet at 10.00. Stout trainers or walking boots recommended. Hopefully, sun hats and water as well!

.....though I don't quite see how Moving Tine is the same as Total Time , as I recall a few pauses, for one reason or another!

A cool morning with the threat of rain didn't deter 23 walkers meeting at the cafe that fortunately had a lovely log fire going. We set off, but soon had to don rain gear, with Russell modelling the latest in Chinese ponchos (a snip at €3):



but the drizzle soon stopped and we even had a bit of sun.



Back for refreshment after just over 2 hours with the sky threatening again, Ros & Alan discuss the finer points of mapping tracks:

Not by me I am afraid , we go back to the cold of the UK on 28 Feb , back again end of April.
