Linda and Russell will be leading this walk at the new earlier start time of 9.30am at Café Sociedade Recreativo at Figueiras. It is approximately 9kms around 2 hours. We head up into the village, through a cork tree forest and then out into the countryside. There are not many hills to climb as it is a fairly flat walk. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing and bring a drink. There is no charge and you walk at your own risk. The café will most likely be closed when we start the walk. We will call for a drink at one of the cafes in the village of Figueras after the walk. If Cafe Tic Tac beside the N125 has re-opened we may be able to have lunch there.
Directions: Drive West along the N125 past the Alvor turning and the Penina Golf, after approximately 2kms go under a footbridge and immediately turn right into Figueiras at the sign "Polidisportivo". Park near the Cafe Sociedade Recreativo Figuerense. Due to Covid19 restrictions we have to limit the numbers to a maximum of 10 walkers. Please indicate if you would like to join us. Please can I put my name down for the walk? Monday 1st June myself and my dog my wife Maggie cannot come due to a bad foot but can she put her name forward for the Tic Tak which is still closed today (Wednesday)

We had an earlier start today at 9.30am and headed out through the cork forest into the countryside towards the A22, then circled back to Figueiras village for a refreshing drink al fresco. We completed a distance of 10kms in around 2 1/2 hours.
