ADDITIONAL WALK - MONDAY 4 MARCH - SAO MARCOS
Posted: Tue Feb 27, 2024 10:06 am
As there is a lot of demand for the walk on Monday, David and Mieke will be doing an additional walk:
A fairly easy and very pleasant walk in the North of the Algarve, in a region of small farms.
Start : 10.00, but please try to arrive at the start by 9:45
Duration : About 2 hours.
Degree of difficulty (Scale 1-5) : 2
Dogs. Dogs are allowed as long as they are under control and are quiet. There could be farm animals in the area running loose.
Start in front of the church in Sao Marcos da Serra. ( 37.362447, -8.378033 )
Drive north on the IC1 towards Lisbon for 20 minutes when you will see the exit for S Marcos. Follow the road directions to the town and then to the centre, the church is at the heart of the town (in rua do Castelo) with a cafe close by. There is parking in front of the church for a few cars, and parking is easy in the streets around.
There is the possibility for lunch afterwards, if our usual restaurant is open.
Usual caveats - all walks are at your own risk, and we do not walk if it is pouring with rain.....I will endeavour to put any cancellation note on this site by 8:30 on the day of the walk.
Any questions, please ask or ring 00 33 624 624 792 .
