Cute black male kitten needs a loving home

I live behind the Aldeia de Chaminees and every year around this time a kitten appears, needing a home. I have previously found homes each year except last year when a black and white kitten appeared! This one we kept, I think because no one came forward to offer her a home, and she is happily intregrated with our other 5 cats, another lives at Palm Gardens!! However, this year I really must draw the line with all the cats and 2 Border Collies! Can anyone offer him a home, he is completely black and is old enough to eat normal cat food. He is reasonably tame as I have been encouraging him to be stroked in readinesss for someone else! Please can anyone help, I would be so pleased.

Sheila, I will phone my dad tonight, he has just moved from Carvoeiro out to Amarosa on a farm, he has mentioned he wants a cat - if I have any luck i will message you tomorrow.

Thanks Helen for your reply. Fingers crossed your Dad will take him. He really needs some tender loving care as he is very wary of everything and needs company. Wait to hear from you tomorrow.

Hi Sheila, I am so sorry, it's typical, only at weekend did he give 2 stray kittens a home. As he has now homed 2 dogs and 2 cats he feels he has to draw the line, especially as one of the dogs he gave a home too turned out to be expecting so he will have his hands full in a few weeks.
Sorry again and I wish you luck in finding him a nice place to live and be loved

Never mind, I'll keep trying, hopefully someone else will reply soon. Good luck to your father, well done for homing two kittens and 2 dogs, There are so many strays and it is so so difficult to find them homes, even with the huge number of residents in Carvoeiro. Thank you for your interest and again good luck to your father, especially with the puppies due!

Just an update. A lovely couple from a country home away from traffic have given the little kitten a fantastic home so a very happy ending. One down, how many other stray cats and dogs need homes? Saw a lovely boxer type dog at Intermarche the other evening, so hope he was just temporarily lost.
