RB Cafe

You may have noticed the RB Cafe has Karaoke Weds and Fri nights.

Has anyone else been charged extra for drinks as a result of this? I went with my daughter and between us we had 4 drinks. When the bill came there was an 'extra' charge of €1.20. When I queried this I was told it was extra as there was karaoke on.

I think this is a rip-off as the drinks aren't cheap as it is. If it wasn't for the convenience I wouldn't ever go back there.

Why not use Bar Tropical (Helder's) which is in the parade of shops/restaurants on the other side of RB in the Vale Centiannes area? Much better prices.

You mean Bars are charging you to endure the torture of karaoke.

If we were ever tempted to go into a bar with Karaoke the thought of paying for it has killed that thought.

Totally agree about Helders bar - great bar for sport also - cannot wait to be there three weeks today. Have been away far too long - 12 months away from Rocha Brava not good for the system but redundancy this year put a stop on some plans.

I much prefer Helders but RB is a bit nearer our apartment. I just wondered if anyone else had picked up on this additional charge.

Back out on 18th Sep for a weekend - can't wait.

PS does anyone know the name of the 'no jumping' pool man - legend!
