Re: A Rampa
i assumed that DaveK was referring to the new restaurant up the hill alongside O Cantinho. It was previously Brumas and before that a Thai restaurant.
Re: A Rampa
Which one is it? Porches or the old Bruma?
Re: A Rampa
I was actually referring to the old Brumas

Re: A Rampa
A Rampa has a 8€ and a 10€ menu with usually 3 or 4 choices on each including fish. The options reduce as the evening goes on - we havent been in for lunch. You get bread and olives, drink ( we usually have a bottle of red), main course, sweet and a coffee for 8 or 10 euros. There' s a covered outside area for summer and its nice inside particulalrly in winter. We'll probably be there at some point in the next few days
Re: A Rampa
The Porches 'A Rampa' is indeed a good average and well priced.
I called in to 'A Rampa' in CVO last week and both menu and prices looked very average with a proprietor who spoke not a word of English and a hellish steep climb to get there. Not good signs for a long and profitable life

Re: A Rampa
Hello Roy, A very happy new year to you ! I am a little confused by your post, is there also a A Rampa in Carvoeiro as well as Porches ?
Re: A Rampa
As per earlier posts on this subject - up the hill from O Cantino and previously Brumas.
I can fit you in for an early appointment if you can't see the aforesaid references

Re: A Rampa
Not a mention of the "A Rampa" By name here Roy, it just refers to the new restaurant.

Perhaps the title of this thread may be a clue and followed up by the earlier posts from Steve and DaveK
