the villa you are referring to is on the Carvoeiro Clube. It is certainly a huge villa with other villas on both sides and behind. These are screened with mature trees. I believe the villa is on a large plot. There have been a couple of brand new (very expensive) villas built just behind it. Casa Lordd has been on the market for quite a while - it is about 10 months since I first saw it for sale. It does look fantastic inside and I am sure you will have a fantastic time.

Adrian, I'm green! I'd certainly go for it, judging by the pictures on the web. I know this sometimes isn't enough but it certainly looks very promising. I surfed round this site when our holiday was cancelled last minute, but another one (Vivenda do Barco) had already been booked. I spotted Casa Lordd, salivated etc but too late!

However, I tortured myself with Casa Lordd, but I only heard about the change/cancellation by operator after Do Barco was booked. The question on my mind re our villa and the one you're toying with booking is the same: Are the pictures anything like reality?

I wish you good luck with Casa Lordd and would be interested in hearing about it after you've been. Sorry, if my post was not of much use to you. However, I felt like commenting so I hope you don't mind.

Enjoy your time there as I most certainly will!

Hi Adrian,

I think it is quite sad that you had to put up with that idiotic, anonymous guest. I was reading this thread and was gladdened to see many people really helping you... phew!

Hi.

Ive stayed in the house in question many times throughout the years and never had any problems. Pool not heated, but do you really need a heated pool in the summer? Not too far from the village, you can walk, but a taxi is cheap enough.

It really is worth it,

Hi Adrian,

Glad u managed to get some help. I understood yr question easily but sadly had no idea where it was but disappointed to read anonymous reply.

Maybe they design DIY instruction manuals or tax forms for the Inland Revenue?!!!

Anyway it sounds great and Carvoeiro is usually full of lovely, helpful people. Have a great holiday - we will be there end of Sept. and counting days down already.
