RESERVATIONS PROBLEM
RESERVATIONS PROBLEM
We have sent two e-mails to Luis at the reservations desk over the past couple of weeks, but no reply so far.
Does anyone know if their computer is down or if there's a problem?
Our e-mail was addressed to:
bookings@rochabrava.com
Thanks.

Well, we did receive a reply this morning, this one from Anabela.
I think we are well on the way now tho' 'twas a bit disconcerting to find that the discount for direct booking as a repeat customer is now 3% less. Puts it pretty much on a par with deals from wholesalers so not sure if any advantage now booking direct
Oh well, everything's going up these days isn't it!

Yes they were having computer problems
I have just returned from RB Oct 23 and they were having problems at the end of last week. They had a technician on site to sort it out
I find with RB that email is great when it works.
Writing a letter is a waste of time because they never answer.
Telephone works well!
Carrier pigeon - well I'm not too sure about that.
Joking apart I consider RB management amongst the best, particularly when you hear of some of the horror stories around - no different than in the UK though.

I absolutely agree, Tom G.
Last year, we returned from a few days trip to Spain to find our TV replaced with one that didn't work very well - after we had finally figured out where to find the English channels on the first one.
When we complained, that very evening, we found ourselves equipped with a brand new one and a very helpful technician called on us several times to make sure all was well. Seems there had been a mix up in communications that resulted in the "musical TV's". Anyway, the new TV was vastly better and we felt a bit guilty about all the fuss.
The staff have always been most helpful and it is one of the reasons we return to RB each year. They are a great team!
But . . . . sometimes they have computer problems. Don't we all!!

If anyone is using aol as their isp they may well have problems with emails. Whilst these emails are usually (not always) received at RB, the replies can sometimes fail to get thru' for some unknown reason.
Incidentally, I experience similar problems with some of my own contacts in the uk who use aol, so it'd not unique to RB or Portugal.
Another problem is that emails generally can take an age to get thru' - Itoday received two sent 3 days ago by a friend in carvoeiro. Portugal's a bit behind with e-communication it seems. I've never had problems with emailing RB and do so quite often.
