Hi. We have owned a townhouse here for 5 years and really enjoy it. Big benefits such as easy access to the beach, centre, restaurants and private gated car parking to the rear. We are not full time residents due to UK business but have a licence to let, which is very successful, especially in the late June to early September period when we tend not to visit as it can be so busy. The management company is based in Portimao. They look after numerous such sites and, on the whole, are good. Hope this helps.

Hi Gordon

Pleased to hear you have bought at Fabrica Velha and I hope you really enjoy your time there; I am sure you will. Unfortunately, we are not coming over until April as our place is let to Canadian people for 2 months. Before we moved there we used Cabovisao for internet but when we moved their cables did not go as far as Fabrica Velha, so we moved to Meo. They were very quick and efficient installing the service, which seems very reliable with a strong WiFi connection, especially downstairs. Meo provides loads of tv channels but these are mainly foreign language, but lots of the films are in English having been produced mainly in the USA and UK. For UK tv channels we use an internet tv service through R J Tecnica. This is a pay as you go service with a monthly rate of just under 20 Euros, reducing slightly if multiple months are paid for. This service was really good to start with but has recently been losing some channels, but when we were there in January it seems to have changed and is much better. At the time we moved there Projection Dreams did not exist and they also provide similar services, but I have no experience of them. It may be best to speak to both and decide which suits your needs best.

Hope this helps.

Dave
