cowboy.....whats a colita?
In the song "hotel california"the line warm smell of colitas.whats a colita?
The 'cola' is the tail, or tip of the marijuana bush, which is more potent. Thus colitas (little tails)are the little buds at the end, and would be in keeping with the song.
Unless of course you mean colitis, which is inflammation of the large intestine, and I'm not sure if that gives off a warm smell
This was mentioned in a well known Beatles lyric 'the girl with colitis goes by'

An intersting question Gerry. I've "Googled" the word and can't find anything.Gerry Cullen wrote:In the song "hotel california"the line warm smell of colitas.whats a colita?
Never heard of it myself, so Rod's answer would seem to fit, given the context.
Of course, given the context, it could also be a slang word for the scent of a willing woman (after all, the next thing he did was stop for the night).
Then again, he could have made the word up.

cowboy! How lovely and willing of you to complete the 'quartet' but this wish for wet dreams? I presume you are speaking of kisses and of the French kind yes
and well the guy would 'stay' for the night if her 'colita' was giving off the right signal(he'd be a fool not to wouldn't he?)
This Rod? He seems to know a lot about bushes--little buds and little tails and seems to be on the right track. Is he a sort of 'David Attenborough' maybe a doctor of nature perhaps?
And yes! Theres always room for more Swingdingin and Im sure Maddi will help me out if you should all become too much
