Hi Ellie.Well I did warn youabout getting too close to those frogs!
My mind boggles at sugestions of cures
Maybe a hot shower dry withwarm towels and some Vic rubbed in would help.Nice and early to bed (not alone) and keep warm.
One problem is french germs are most difficult to get rid of.It will take time but you need to keep away from the country andits inhabitants!

I dont speak french but was given this handy little phrasebook for Christmas called 'The art of offence around the world"
To Pierre I'd just say
Mais je ne suis pas grossier.Tu es tellement insignifiant--
There are many more such phrases all in french german italian spanish and russian --

Please dont take Morris8s words too seriously-----hes merely 'winding you up'------
I was simply asking for a cure for my heavy cold! --and no way would I (as Morris suggests) avoid going to France again-or meeting the people --who--I always enjoy being with and find fascinating (including yourself!)
By the way---Im completely baffled by your identity--I dont doubt your'French connection'---but you spelt 'favorite' in the US way ---so--think maybe you've french background --but spent time in America--but now live in Europe?----am I getting warm monsieur Pierre

Its all true--your words about our railway system--and for a country that 'invented' the system --we certainly have nothing to be 'arrogant' about there!
Im afraid you lost me abit with the French--I cant translate too well (I need more practise!)---but think you say--its the identity of a 'frog' or a mature? toad that matters --not size?is that correct? Sorry if im being a bit of a dunce!
Yes--I suppose a lot of our ways seem antiqueted and need more modernisation----but ---think we have 'slightly' better 'public loos than in dear old France----and we have a brilliant 'rugby' team too n'est ce pas? Wouldnt you agree?
and Ive just had a lovely walk in beautiful English countryside--though we dont have anything that quite compares with your 'Massif Central'---see-- Im trying my best not to be 'too' arrogant

But I feel truly honoured Monsieur Lafayette to be high up near to the lovely Kate Moss--but you flatter me n'est ce pas -Je pense?
and I will have to cut down on my "sweet things" to come any where close to having such a figure!

I too admired the work of Francois Truffaut--director & actor yes ?
Two favourite films I have on tape are:
Jean de Floret and Manon des Sources --with Gerard Depardieu and Yves Montand --wonderful acting--I cant remember the name of the other man(who played Montands younger brother) --think it was Daniel something ? was it Antoeuil or something like that?
I think they were from Marcel Pagnols books (not sure of spelling!)
I just think French films are so 'atmospheric--I love the old black and white ones too and one stands out called Le Boucher--a really gruesome murder film!
But I also like comedy and I was a big fan of 'Jaques Tati' --I thought he was very funny/clever
I have a confession to make! I dont like reading Charles Dickens----Oh Pierre--suppose that makes me very 'un-English'!
