New to Algarve, needing some help!
New to Algarve, needing some help!
Hi everyone, looking for a little advise please,
I am planning on visiting Carvoeiro in Oct, we have seen a villa we quite like but just wondering if anyone can give me more info
It is with Villas to Go, Casa Barbara, it says it is located on the Vale Do Milho estate approx 3km from Carvoiero centre, but it does say nearest
beach - 0.8km Centiannes
golf - 0.8km Vale Do Milho
resturant - 0.8km Rocha Brava
Shop - 0.8km Rocha Brava
I am guessing that Rocha Brava is a holiday complex and the shop/resturant belongs to this complex, but can anyone tell me is there any other bars, shops etc within walking distane of this area, we dont really want to use a car or taxi all the time (6 of us going so would need 2 taxis each time) we would prefer to walk and occasionaly get a taxi into the center. Any help would be much appriciated
Thanks

Hi Bevvy,
If you visit the FAQ section of the website then there are maps, details of restaurants, beaches etc. Its a good starting point and should you then need more detailed info, ask in the form and lots of helpful people will give you good, but sometimes conflicting advice (everyone has their favourite places).
It a great place to come to though - so enjoy when you get there.

Thanks for your quick replies, I have been looking through the website and I just seem to be getting more and more confused, some really good info.

Hi
The villa next to the Santa Barbara is having some work done but it is nearly completed and will in no way effect your stay in October!!
We were lucky enough to be able to stay in the Casa Santa Barbara for 6 weeks last year whilst work was 'in progress' next door. We had a fantastic time in this villa its really lovely. We have 2 children and we regularly walked to the beach from the villa. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and you can get taxis for 6, just ask when you ring to book and they will send a big taxi.

I've looked at the Casa Barbara on the Villas to Go website and its not the same villa as the Casa Santa Barbara. I have also stayed in the Santa Barbara which is a 3 bedroomed detatched white villa and it was delightful.
The 'Casa Barbara' shown on this website is a linked townhouse painted pink its not a white detatched villa. I think there is some confusion here over the properties and the associated building work?
