PROPERTY RENTAL LICENSE NEW LAW ?

I read in the recent algarve resident that there is now a new much more clarified law about renting your property. Camara are supposed to issue you with a license, and process is simpler. Has any one tried this,or know bit more about this. I own an apaerment in algarve, but live in U,K. I am hoping to let it out during holiday season, apartmetn is managed by property management company,

Any help or guidance what so ever from any of you lovely folks out there will be most appreciated.
