Hi, has my post been deleted? you know the one where I said the badge looked like a ******* *** , hope not, I was only yoking, sorry! I will try to repair the damge though, by trying to make a couple of what I think are sensible suggestions, firstly you need to have a few window stickers made for the shops that stock the badges, good for the cause and arguably good for the shopkeeper it brings people into the establishment, secondly, I may, and I say, may, help by donating a few hundred to the cause, I have the facility to produce them in the UK, send the artwork to me by e-mail if you feel you can accept the outstandingly generous offer. Hey! another suggestion, how about, T-shirts ............. better get off now, my minds working overtime, we entrepreneurs don't get any peace once we start.
Oh! no I've just spotted it, sorry, anyway the offer still stands, how did I miss it, thinking too much about making offers obviously.

Just returned from a brief visit to CVO and didn't see any other badges.
I had to go to buy a new one as my original has mysteriously disappeared from where I left in the villa.

When I went into the ice cream shop, I had some difficulty in making myself understood as to what I wanted and if I hadn't bought one from there before I would've given up and thought I'd imagined they sold them.

I didn't see any badges either, ceh. When I bought mine at the Cone place they understood extactly what I wanted. Had heard of others having the same problem you encoutered though.

The badge is on the slightly too big side for my taste (sorry erichard). How about seeing if someone can make them a bit smaller and have more than one outlet selling them.

When I say smaller, I mean something similar to the poppy that I bought last year during the poppy appeal! They were poppy shaped lapel pins, which had backs on to prevent them falling off and were discreet without being invisible... just a thought!

They're made of metal, and would be very hard to shrink - even in a hot wash. I know cos I've tried

Interesting observations, and rather than refute anything, let me ask aloud:

Is the reason people (who have bought them) don't wear them because
- they are too prominent/dominant ?
- you just keep forgetting ?
- you've lost it ?
- Other (specify)

Is the reason you haven't bought one because:
- You couldn't find the ice cream parlour
- The ice cream parlour was shut
- The staff there didn't know what you were talking about
- You don't want to be spotted.
- Other (specify)

I certainly don't have any "ownership" to defend and would be happy to re-consider and help with any other device, but personally do not think its the badges themselves that are the problem.

Yes, for me, anyway. I found the one that Sharen got from CM a bit on the big side. I would rather pay a couple of quid or so and have a smaller, pin-type badge. Discreet but noticeable. In fact I would probably buy a couple and then I'd be sure to be wearing one most of the time

don't know about the rest of you but if this pin is any smaller (like a lapel pin) I would have trouble spotting it. Would feel really stupid getting up close to stare at peoples' lapels. This is more visible for me to spot without gawking at everyone.

I don't have a problem with the badge in its present form. I agree with Canada that anything smaller would be very hard to spot. I think the problem is that we are too thin on the ground for most of the time. I wore my badge for two weeks in April around the village, and never spotted anyone else wearing one. The only person who noticed my badge was Jan at Ma-Ja's.

As you say Mike maybe there just aren't many of us in CVO at one time. And probably not in the same area -Intermarche should be a good "spotting" place.
