damp courses
Hi,
We have an old quinta and have noticed small patches of damp on both internal and external walls. We live here year round and heat and air the house daily.
Has anyone similar problems and do you know if an injectable damp course would solve the problem. Would appreciate knowing of reputable companies who carry out such work.
Thanks
Roger.

I have some small damp patches and think that the lack of gutters and the vertical tiling at the base of the external walls doesn't help ie the water rushes off the roof, down the walls and behind the tiles.
Getting some guttering installed (and I remember a thread on the topic)and applying some mastic is on the list of things to do but I'd be interested to hear if anyone's had a damp proof course injected. Suspect there may be a problem with the type of blocks used to construct properties and the plaster (or equivalent).

Thanks for the replies, we have had gutters fitted and use a dehumidifier.
Have seen in local papers about hydropol for damp walls anybody used these? Any help appreciated.
