The Bote is opening for a trial run on Saturday and then should be open properly the following week.

Hi Helen :)
d'you know in all my years living in Algarve & holidaying there Ive never been inside The Bote..now consider myself too old :)
But about 2 years ago, a friend of mine (shes 20 years younger) wanted me to go with her there, to a foam party!
I was flattered to be asked but declined the offer.....but tell me, what does one do at a foam party?

Bote has new owners, new style, no foam parties planned.

Le Bot is due to open soon and will be fab. I met up with the persons who are setting it up and will be running it when we were over last week. A really nice couple. No doubt they will post on here something about it in due course, so I shall leave it in there capable hands to explain what will be happening.
Nice to meet you both, hope the little ones are still eating well

Sulleys is open and doing well. Very noisy and spilling out over on to the road. Rather coarse and raucus in there, but if that floats your boat then go for it

sullys

Couldn't agree more Baggy. It really has changed and in my opinion is bubbling up nicely to a major burst up given the age profile and its situation at the centre of the square. I hope I'm wrong and I don't want to bad mouth anybody trying to make a living in the village and especially somebody new just starting out but I fear for what might happen :? :?

Gary and I used to finish off our eveings there, but when we were last out there it was absolutely packed out and with loud music blareing. I must admit that it put my Gary off slightly.

bote

I didn´t realize the Bote was open on Saturday - anyway, I think we should say goodbye to the rest of nightlife in Carvoeiro. The only Disco we had will turn into a place for only "over 21 years" - I mean I don´t like foam parties, but they were always part of the entertainment in summertime for all the tourists. All the bars live from them - if there won´t be any real disco any more - all the other bars will feel the consequences. Many "under 21" will go to Praia da Rocha/ Albufeira ...
What we need is a real disco and nothing fussy like the Bote will be from now on ...

Oh dear, there is more to life , than foam parties and the like. Surely if you require those things for a night out you can go elsewhere and then come and enjoy the delights of Le Bot
