We know that there are a number of famous people who have homes around Carvoeiro, Lagoa, Silves and Porches - I wonder if any of them visit this site, I wonder if any of them are members . . . are you out there right now?

Also, not on the same scale, do any of you have "claims to fame", obviously MC is 'huge' in the Backgammon world but what about the rest of you?

yes i live here in an apartment in downtown lagoa....i use of course an assumed name...jose pinto...i know quite a few other famous folks...

There is a famous german singer who lives on the outskirts of town. He is called Udo Jürgens.

Like most famous people down in the Algarve, he would rather nobody knew when and where he is in the Algarve.

When we lived in Lagoa,I took over a garden near Porches from person who'd played tennis with Cliff Richard.
Does that count? Its very 'second hand'!
Oh..I met & shook hands with the late Princess Margaret..I was about 11-12yrs old. I was representing my church!
Yeah..I know...don't really go with the image does it

My 'Claims to Fame' are all a bit suspect but here goes!

Golden Balls once passed me a tin of tuna in Tesco's (being little I couldn't reach of course!!)
I kissed Rod Stewart, although I'm not sure he noticed,
and Sinead Cussack and Alex Furguson are regulars in my local Sainsbury's.

I reckon I know who Guest and Guest 2 is. What about that nonsense a few years ago when Don Whats his name from The Eagles was supposed to be in town and using Whispers (now Jailhouse). Didn't look anything like him but still earned him a few drinks!
