I popped up to Rascals the other day and had a really nice lunch there. I had home-made salmon fishcakes which was served with a salad, wedges, coleslaw and a sweet chilli dip, washed down by a glass of rosé it was delicious and a lot less expensive than O Patio if you are just looking for a light meal. Mandy (the owner) who I haven't seen for ages and her mother made me feel very welcome and of course you have the terrace looking out over the sea. It's just a few yards up the road on the right hand side of the beach. Well worth popping into.

light lunch
I think the one below Martins Grill is called Grande Cafe. We had lunch there on Monday. Nice pizza, omelettes, burgers etc.

Hi. Yes they're open from mid-day I think. The house is okay, it destroyed our land line phone but it's all sorted now, thanks for asking. A nice sunny day here again today.Lesley Jean wrote:Didn't realise they were open at lunch times, thanks for that Helen. We will try it in November when we are out next. How is the house after your direct hit???

Light lunch can mean many things, are we talking toasties, burgers, salads, omelette's etc. In which case all of the above can do but charge a premium for the position they are in. Imprevisto and Hemingway's on the out road about 1 Min's from the square are both very good. Also Matabixo (overlooking the square) and Irish Times. Very reasonable all of them.
Grand cafe (pieu pieu in a previous life) we all call the "red bar" under Martins grill ! good place for lunch but..... o patio for lunch is a treat but el mucho dearo....if lunch is really your thing then go to Benagil beach for the morning and then upto "o" littoral , at the very top of the hill, v. v good.... or reis das das dont mention for fear of being even more popular is also a treat
