Black hole on Estrada do Farol

Post by R.Wethereyet »

Construction of a new bar has started on Estrada do Farol.

http://www.gallery.carvoeiro.com/spgm/i ... lters=#pic Thanks to Carol.

The Aviso states that the construction will have a total area of just over 1000m2, and each floor will be 253m2. It also states that the use will be 'Bar' and has a build licence for 1 year.

This will be the biggest bar in Carvoeiro by far, but with other established bars already suffering, and the number of noise complaints to the GNR on the increase, will it be a welcome addition.

It's right opposite Cafe Fino and on the opposite corner to O Cantinho.

After reading on this forum that takings are down in the bars/restaurants, it makes you wonder if Carvoeiro needs another Bar/club. Bote doesn't seem to be drawing the crowds! Will this end up being another empty building. Whatever happened to the village appeal?

"Village" it's way past a village, what's needed is a good night club with a bit of class to pamper to the whims of us rich people

It's on the same side as O Cantinho. If you walk out of Barclay's and turn immediate right, you'll fall down the hole

So it is going up the hill? The reason for my interest is that I am about 50 yards up the hill on the opposite side (over Marisqueira) ... I can't picture where the hole is at the moment!!

fmm, walk down the hill from your place, left hand side between Barclays and the side road along side Cantino

Thank you! so going down the hill slightly (every yard will be important if it is going to be very popular!)

I am sure Toby will appreciate it when he is of the right sort of age - I expect I am past it, but at least I can sample its delights wtihout having to walk too far!!!
