Does anyome know of a book - Portuguese for Beginners written by a lady who has lived in the Algarve. I think her name is Sheila Watts but I can't find anything.

Yes, it is very good, she has also written a follow-up

I think it is available in the Algarve Book Cellar and also the paper shop in Rua do Barranco - probably other places too
