Would you please translate first posting for me..trying to figure it out nearly finnished me off

Tell you what though..shopping in Boston market today....I instantly recognised a language being spoken by a family group nearby...and managed to understand quite a bit.....it was Portuguese..yet sometimes...the Lincolnshire dialect really 'fogs' me

But being south London...I suppose it would!
Can anyone tell me..whats a 'woolyback '?
Is it by any chance...the northern term for a southerner? Me & son would like to know!

(Woolyback) normally a derogetory scouse or northern term for an out of towner 'thick country folk often interbred' bit like the Isle of Sheppy before the bridge was built

City girl born & bred..and though I live in 'woolyback country'...at times I yearn for the bright lights
