Dodge,
If you are travelling soon go for the twilight deal at the Morgado complex. I was out last week and the twilight starts at 3.30pm and the twice I played we were the only two people on the course and it only costs €30. Genuinely the only two - there was nobody out behind us. Sadly it is a sign of the times. The golf courses are suffering really badly and if it continues I really do worry for them. Pestana is still holding on to a few but only a few. We played Gramacho and got out as a two ball at 4.45pm. We have never been allowed out without being paired up with others in the past. When you look at the restaurants and bars with the exception of a few old favourites who seem to be able to avoid the recession everywhere else is suffering very badly. Some try to blame it on the works at the square but I'm confident that is not the case. There are quite a number of people around the village during the day but its a bit of a Cinderella story once the close strikes 6.00pm I hope I'm wrong but me thinks it is going to be a long summer for some !!!!

jsut a point in case you are booking on Maorgado for June. They are hollow coring the greens on Alamos at the beginnning of June and Morgado around the 20th of June. Takes about 15 days for green to get back to a good state.

Have the summer Golf deals started, last year we could play Morgado/Alamos for 30 euros each incl buggy.

Anything similar this year on this or other courses ??
