Nicely put Heini, Horzar sounds like someone who always gets his way and domineering to me. Is that right Hozar, by the way eaten at this establishment twice, the second time to either confirm the first time was "a bad night", won't be going back I'm afraid.

Its actually Horzah (which is a gaming nickname ) and I'm not domineering considering its usually my wife who gets her way

Anyway thanks for the input Mike - it seemed to me that Heini was supporting me not condemning me for being domineering

I had one bad experience at Via Italia - usually I would not return to a restaurant after this - this entire thread has more or less convinced me that it would not be a good idea to try it again.

I was in your place last night and i could not believe the bill when it came. We had 2 starters and 2 mains and 1 bottle of Pino. Both my girlfriend and I work in London and 80 euros is what we would expect there, not in Carvoeiro!!!!

The appetiser was cold and so was the servce. There was an air of the fact that your staff were doing us a favour by serving us Maybe this is because of the time of the year but it is still not good enough.

I come to the town 6 times a year and have eaten many times over the years but I cannot and will not justify your prices which is a shame as you have a nice place and also prime location.

I never right revues but we felt so taken for a ride that we had no option but to do so! We have had better service ordering a toasty in Hemingways!!!

I have just looked at the first post on the thread. We live near this restaurant and bought our property 16 years ago. Via Italia was not there then. I remember it being built and opening, so why does he claim that the restaurant has been going for 20 years?

We tried the restaurant twice many years ago - food was OK, but service was bad. Have not been back, and it would appear that this is still the case.
