I had my wallet lifted even though it was zipped and welded on my person,
but still some snot wipe robbed me, no cards no dosh. Insurance guidence states that to register a claim I need written report from police, off I go to the'land of nod', out staggers this copper that a had I just dared to wake up at the unearthly hour of 2pm, after several yawns and regular passing of wind he eventually informs me that I should be careful in Lisbon,"many bad people around". He can't help me, I must report it to the main kip house in Carvoeiro,(police station to the uninitiated) I must confess to a slight lose of temper and a reduction of faith in the law. Hence the idea of a cuddly pooch.P.S the bloody taxi drivers are bent!!! :x :x :x

Was it Lisbon or London you visited? The symptoms sound the same!

I guess you will not be going back then.

Been there, got the t-shirt. Sorry to hear about it, even more sorry that its become so common in the big cities that the "law enforcement officers" dont seem to care about it anymore.

This is one of those situations where our middle-eastern neighbors are decades ahead of us:
Title page of the biggest newspaper in Dubai "theif steals 1000 dolars and a mobile phone".
He was caught and 1 week later he got his left hand chopped off in public. Crime is not really an issue over there....I wonder why....?

As for Europe, when you find a pocket-sized doberman, let me know...
