Travelling from Faro airport to Carvoeiro
Travelling from Faro airport to Carvoeiro
Hi
I've just booked a holiday to Carvoeiro for early June; however, it seems the deal does not include transport from Faro airport to my hotel! Are there any buses that I can catch - if so are they reasonably straightforward to find at the airport! Alternatively, would booking a taxi be a better bet and how much is it likely to cost?
Any thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Apologies if this has been covered before but I've only just registered and haven't been able to scroll through all the boards yet!
Thanks
Mal

Welcome mal ,i made the trip in feb by taxi to armcao cost 55euro so to cvo probably another 10 ,iknow it seems like a lot but if theres a few of you its only 20 or 30euro a head and the hassle it will save you........also if its your first time to the area you,ll get the lowdown on where stuff is zoomarine ,algarve shopping etc.My wife used a great driver (female) in feb and if you want i can post a phone number.
enjoy your holiday.
enjoy your holiday.

Why not look at car hire - it's relatively cheap and allows you to explore throughout your holiday.
The car hire link through this site comes recommended. You pick the car up at the airport and drop it back to the car park on your return.
If you haven't driven abroad before most of the roads are pretty quiet - the only problems can be things link the ever changing one way diversions in Portimao if yoy go there.

Mal..dont know if this is any good to you?
Been using Carlos ...taxi driver...for couple years..very safe, friendly man.
He charges 48 euros (this was last Sept/Oct and also this week..when he took me to Faro from CVO)
His number :91 761 23 22 .......if you book him from UK you have to dial Port. code..00 351 first.
He speaks quite good English.Ive booked him from here and hes been there on time to pick me/us up.
Dont know if this helps?
Good luck and happy hols!
