Lady and the Tramp
Lady and the Tramp.
Lady aka Holly travelled first class to her new home in the Algarve, in the wet winter of 2003. First class for a dog that is………….. But then the back of a Mercedes estate is definitely first class compared to anything on EasyJet have to offer.
Tramp, who doesn’t yet understand that his given name is Harry, arrived a couple of days ago in "Colin the skilled tradesman's" van. Looking very timid and rather sorry for himself, after being hit by a car, Harry clearly didn’t know what to make of the snooty Scottish bitch with her blonde highlights, and elegant swagger.
Holly on the other hand knew exactly what to do with Harry. Put him in his place big time. The message delivered with a deep growl and snarling teeth and was very loud and clear. “I’m the alpha dog round here shorty, and if you try and take any attention away from me, then you’ll wish that car finished you off”.
Well, thought Harry “I’m not hanging around here with that bitch. I might look a bit old and stiff, but as soon as the two legs turn their backs, I'm over that wall, and back on the streets”.
And so it was. Less than half an hour after arriving Harry was off, up the lane and gone.
Holly looking rather pleased, helped herself to some grapes from the kitchen work top, and retired to her chaise for a bit of personal grooming.
