Bus to Ferragudo

Post by debbiew »

Does anyone know if there is a bus service to Ferragudo Beach (Praia Grande) and if so where from and what sort of times does it go and return!

Thanks

Sadly no buses run from Carvoeiro to Ferragudo direct, yes you have to go into Portimao to get to Praia Grande. The only other way is by taxi, it will cost approx 10 to 12 euros one way from town but is worth it, the beach is great for families, safe waters, great views and good restaurants . Sunday afternoon is a good time to go, one of the bars has live music on the terrace overlooking the beach.

Thanks for that, we went to Praia Grande a couple of times last year and used a taxi, just wondered if their was a cheaper way of doing it. Never mind, like you say its well worth the visit. :D
