Satellite boxes

Post by maccasa »

I am having a complete refurb of my Satellite TV system (upgrade to HD) and will shortly have the following FREESAT units which are basically Sky boxes with their freeview cards. They can recieve 100+ channels including all the usual BBC and ITV

Amstrad DRX 400 - €40
Amstrad DRX 550 - €45

Both with remotes and cards and obviously good working order - NOTE a Sat dish tuned to Astra 28 is needed for these

I also have a FULL Digital Satellite receiver which is currently tuned into Hotbird, Astra 28 and also Astra 19 - it is a FORTEC STAR ULTRA 5100 - which is capable of receiving dozens of pre-programmed Satellites and their channels (5000 POSSIBLE!)- complete with remote etc - €65

This can be usedas a standard SKY box with sat dish tuned to Astra 28 or with a dual, offset LNB, and sat dish aligned to Hotbird for Astra19 (BBC/ITV etc) and Hotbird 1-5

Contact me for further details/photos etc

I'm confused.

Are these items for sale ? Mac's post does not actually say so, although it is posted in the appropriate section.

"will shortly have the following FREESAT units..."
Does that mean "will shortly have the following FREESAT units for sale" or does it mean you will shortly be the owner of these units ?

I was just wondering why for sale items go into FAQ ?

OK, OK, call me a pedant :? :D

I thought it might help others. I'll wait and see if anyone replies to my request in General.

Yes, but the receiver and 1 sky box have been sold and I only have the one freesat and one Sky box now - I am out 6th nov and someone is coming on 14th to have one of those - dont know which yet. My Daughter is there from 29th Oct, so if you were in a rush the Amstrad DX400 Sky box that is being used there is available now? pm if you want further details.
