There is a smallish fitness room on the Rocha Brava development that you could try. You do not need any membership and can pay for it by the visit

Big gyms are pretty scarce around here, but I found a gem of a gym the other day at Boca Rio Resort on the banks of the Arade River.

I am not sure if they are open yet but it will be coming soon, we had a tour around there the other day and it has a fantastic indoor swimming pool and gym overlooking the pool with an amazing view out to the river.

I was quite surprised to note the location of this club. Every time we have passed over the nearby bridge, the er . . . shall we say . . . aroma . . . has not been pleasant. Is that not a factor any more?

In my view (or my nose

), the smell is on the other side of the river, a good few kms away on the Portimao side. When we were touring the resort there was no smell.

Maybe I am wrong, but I haven't really noticed that smell much anymore, maybe they have done something about it... Now theres a question!
