Well, appears that the methods you are using as repellant are not considered to work, yet you are not being bitten ... I rest my case

Never seen a mozzie around Solferias hill, but down in the valley its a different story. I understand pet Tarantula's and Iguana's are good as well - eco friendly and definitley a talking point :D

We live in Vale De Milho and have never had a problem, perhaps the sea air drives them away.

Be careful with DEET you ladies, my better half used it while on holiday in March, she wore an imitation pearl bracelet/bangle thing and the deet took the enamel off her bracelet and it stuck to her arm. I got the blame (as usual) for buying the stuff for her, dangerous she alleged, she hadn't let it evaporate before applying ornaments being the main problem !! Be aware

Other than aforementioned "problem" it is an excellent repellent.

Don't wash under your arms for a few weeks, it keeps the mossies away good style, plus your family, friends and neighbours, and you'll always get a table in your local restaurant. :o

You will need a mosquito repellent if you suffer from bites. This natural product is fantastic and much safer than user deet products. I suffer from cancer and my doctors suggested using this natural product. It really is good for small children too plus I use it on my horses it keeps the midges away too. You can purchase it oneline.

Incognito Mosquito repellent - NEW FORMULA

•Provides 100% protection against all mosquitoes
•Stronger than any Deet-based products
•Works on All insects anywhere in the world
•Fabulous fragrance and is non-greasy

If you are bitten try smearing a small amount of toothpaste over the bight, really good for stopping itching. I was bitten a few years back after falling asleep outside the villa we were staying in, ankles, elbows hands all over.Tried all the creams for mossie bites from the chemist to no avail. Only thing that stopped the itching was the toothpaste remedy I googled on the internet.
