Monte Carvoeiro Shop

Post by philzech »

Just returned from another fantastic 2 weeks spent in CVO.

As people are probably aware the mini market at MC closed some 12-15 months ago.

However I was pleased to see that a little shop has opened at the entrance to the complex not 30 yards from the mini market.

It sells the most basic items including bacon eggs ham milk crisps wine beer etc and most of all 5 litre bottles of water !!

Which is most welcome for those without a car, the walk up from the village was hard to say the least with 2 x 5 litre bottles.

Thought it might help people staying around this area.

Regards

Will it be open all year? The mini market on QdP is pretty good but only open in the summer.

That's good - we stay a couple of minutes from there and we missed the alisuper last year. Only usually get a few provisions as we eat out most of the time.
Does it sell fresh bread rolls/baguettes by any chance?
Be out on 3rd Sept for 10 days. 8)

Spoke to owner whilst there and he didnt give any indication that he would close during quieter months.

It sells bags of crusty rolls, sliced bread for toasting.
