Re: taxi price
The hotel on the beach has a list of tours, times, dates, costs and pick up points for the coaches and where to book cars for hire.
When we stayed there we went on a few trips. A historical trip of the Algarve, which was great and included a very drunkem lunch. We also did a trip on the yacht in and out of the caves which was really fun. There is a trip to Loule if you like markets, but I found it very dull. Monte CVO has a mini bus and does trips to Seville which again I loved.
As mentioned there are a few operators in CVO that do the trips. Look at the prices to compare.
They are a great way to see the area without the driver always saying 'I cannot see I am driving'. Hence Richard found the coach trips enjoyable too. Therefore afterward we were able to choose where we wished to go in our hire car at later dates.

I have just used a fairly new taxi company called www.algarvesuntransfers.com. and a return journey to and from the airport to CVO is €82. Im out here for 30 odd days but have just hired a car for 10 days otherwise it just sits in the garage doing nowt.

.
Cheers gary. ill have a look at the website. I was thinking of just hiring a car for a few days and then do the trips we want to do.
It will just sit in the parking space most of the holiday if we hire one for two weeks!!

Told dave about the airport transfer bus and he still seems to want to hire a car. Apparently he'll be bored without one and wants one so he can visit places whenever he wants
if he moans one time about having to drive ill go mad!!!
Re: taxi price
I'm with Dave, Trace, I don't care where I am or what I'm doing, there has to be a car outside my home, be it tent, hotel or villa. I might not use it but it has to be there. Sad, I know, but that's me.

Re: taxi price
Lol your forgiven
Daves the exact same, i suppose its his money so he can waste it if he wants but i dont really see the point!! Its more money we could use for spending money. Waiting till next week to see if we're going to book one because we're moving house this weekend, im hoping theres no cars left!
dont think theres much chance of that though. He can go away driving himself and ill just sit on the beach all day
