Having read some very positive reviews about this restaurant we went along last night. Our expectations were exceeded. The menu is interesting & comprises a well chosen range of a la carte dishes and a similar number of daily specials. The offer is inclusive of house wine, coffee, and water & we were also offered an amuse bouche and a port or brandy with our coffee.

We chose Shellfish Thermidor & Moules Gratinee to start followed by Fried baby Sole with asparagus & Fillet Steak with pepper sauce. Other dishes included Steamed Turbot with Champagne sauce, Fillet of Lamb with Honey Mint sauce, Venison etc. Fresh bread rolls & butter were also included in the offer.

The owners Debbie & Louis made us feel very welcome and the service was excellent throughout the evening. We are adding Chrissy's to our list of favourite restaurants it offers a warm welcome, pleasant decor, friendly professional service & above all great food.

Oh you probably want to know the cost? €62 for two excluding service which is dicretionary. Fine value for money in my opinion.

If you take the road that goes past Millennium bank (keeping the bank on your left and go straight up) go past the post office and the market on your right, you will see Chrissy's on the right

Spent the last 2 weeks in Sesmarias & ate out 4 times.

Chrissy's was by far the best value for money serving good quality food & wine at very reasonable prices. €30 per head for 2 courses wine coffee etc.

La Bella Vita, one of my favourites, was disappointingly expensive charging for the Amuse Bouche is an unwelcome innovation & their best waiter has left.

Rei das Praias, caught them on a bad night & short staffed. Prices have gone up again & it was already expensive.

Rui Marisqueira, first visit. 1 large Crayfish €120, 1 bottle Vino Verde €9.00. Choose carefully & you could have a lot of fun!

We went to Chrissy's on Wednesday evening and had a lovely meal, the food is top quality and the wine good quality, I like the way they price the meals as you can choose between a 2 course, 3 course, main and pudding.... etc all served with wine, water and coffee included in the price which ranges from 25 euros a head to 36 euros a head.

One we have used before but then gave a bit of a rest, now I am wondering why?? going back again for sure.

Agree with everything else except that phrase.

I went in a group of 4. One was a non-drinker, and I was off red wine, so drank beer. The price "includes wine", and we only had one bottle between 4 persons, yet they charged "extra" for my two beers. It was also early in their new setup when only a 3 course was available at something like €34.50, but 2 of us did not have a desert. All in all we came away with a bitter taste - despite lovely food.

All in all we came away with a bitter taste - despite lovely food.

They now have a price for a 2-course meal and other options - probably best not to have the fixed price meal if you don't drink wine - unless there's a guzzler on the table who can drink for 4 (no names mentioned but it makes you feel a bit groggy in the morning ).

Didn't you notice that the menu offer "includes wine" before you ordered the set menu ??? It's made very obvious and provides, even those who drink very little, with excellent value.

Yes, I did notice and normally it would not bother me, but way back when they started, the 3 course set menu was the only option. No a la carte and no 2 course options were available.

All I was asking for was a bit of common sense.
